8800M Installation Guide for Sager Notebook NP579x

New Page 1

Here are some blown up images of the 8800 and a Quick Un-Install guide for the M570RU/5792 Video Card. I figured everyone would like to see it up close and personal so the images are a little large.

For 9262 users, I have provided a image below showing where the "Bridge Cable" connects to the 8800M GTX for SLi.

Uninstall Information
1. Remove the back Panel on the back of the 579x. You wil see the video card in copper casing. Below you will see what it looks like with the video card out.

2. Next you will remove the video card. There are 7 Screws that need to be removed to remove the card. You will see them labeled 1-7 below. Once you remove screws 1-4 the copper heatpipe assembly can be removed off of the video card and out of the system.

3. After removing the heatpipe assembly you will only see the video card that is protected with a copper heatsink casing. (Pictured below). Screws 5-7 release it from the motherboard and you can now remove the video card (Pull up slightly and backward out toward the back of the system)

On the copper casing you will see some brief install/uninstall notes. (All screws are labeled in the order they need removed.)

That is it for the removal, now some pictures of the 8800M GTX:

For those that have 9262's, I have labeled where the "Bridge Cable" connects to the 8800M GTX for SLi Mode.
