Kevin Zielinski - 04/08/2010 Okay its been almost a day having this laptop seeing as i got it today :]
I am very pleased with the performance but like any laptop its got some flaws..... not bad flaws.
I discovered that the AC power cord is kind of hard to really keep it in the computer, sometimes if i move my laptop to adjust i dont realize that i unplugged the cord just a tad bit, but that tad bit is enough to disconnect power. theres also some flex on the top of the hood it kind of pushes in like theirs empty space there... but no biggie. The touchpad is pretty much crap... but knowing a lot of people they usually carry a small mouse with them but i mean the touch pad is still responsive its just the pebble surface as well as the multi-touch jester are poor.
Anyways enough of the bad. I spent a total of 1,079 dollars on this laptop and id say its worth every cent, excluding the defects i discovered. but the system is fast smooth and great, i never liked windows vista or any other OS other than XP but this Windows 7 is pretty cool in some ways i dont mind having it. The keyboard is awesome chicklet is sweet, makes me feel like i have a macbook keyboard which i love...except i hate macs :P. Anyways games run smooth, so far ive played HL2, CS:S on high but i have yet to play crysis and LFD2 which im pretty excited to see how this machine will handle that. The screen is great but when you play games since the screen is like a widescreen it doesnt fit the whole screen just like the middle if you understand me? but the screen is good, i had also had the chance to test it on my HD tv through HDMI. And i must say it looked great.
I heard from previous models that the fan is really loud? well this NP7652 is silent as can be it also(correct me if im wrong if this feature is also on previous models) has this button on the top left corner where you can set the fan on normal and slow but either way its still quiet. It does get kinda hot while playing games but i expected that.
If you looking to spend around 1100 dollars id say go for the NP7952, other than that, i have nothing else more to say.
